The handwritten manuscript of Paolo Boccone is Manuscript 2039 (olim 27) in the fonds ancien of the BIUM. There are two distinct parts to this document and it is not certain that their author designed them in relation to one another. The first part is a small bound notebook of fourteen leaflets, the second part is the herbarium itself. We refer here to the first one of these two as the "Chantilly notebook".
